Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit asking the court to compel the FDA to comply with a Freedom of Information Act request seeking communications between the FDA and Senator Clinton regarding the “Plan B” drug and her threats to block the July 2006 nomination of Dr. Andrew von Eschenback to head the FDA until the Plan B contraceptive was made available over-the-counter.
Timothy Plan President Arthur Ally is available for Talk Show interviews to discuss the intricacies of this matter.
Said Ally, “I agree with Judicial Watch’s President, Tom Fitton that the FDA’s decision seemed more about politics than science. Abortion, for the most part, has always been a political issue. If it was examined as a scientific issue, the conclusion would be that life begins at the moment of conception.”
In addition to avoiding companies advancing abortion, Ally’s Timothy Plan fund avoids investing in companies that profit from pornography, anti-family entertainment, as well as companies involved in promoting issues contrary the Judeo-Christian teachings of the Bible.
An example of a pro-abortion stock shunned by The Timothy Plan is Barr Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (BRL), whose principal subsidiaries are Barr Laboratories, Inc. and Duramed Pharmaceuticals, Inc. About that stock, Ally said, “The Timothy Plan fund family will not invest in BRL because Barr Pharmaceuticals is very heavily involved in abortion through their manufacturing of SEASONIQUE, ParaGard T 380A IUD, Mircette and Plan B. all of which contribute to the termination of pregnancies. We simply will not own companies that are involved in the destruction of innocent human life.”
Ally continues, “It will be interesting to see how this lawsuit unfolds especially during the run-up to the presidential primaries. If Judicial Watch is successful, it could be pivotal to Catholics, Christians and other pro-life Americans. The latest research we have found indicates that approximately 62% of Americans believe abortion should not be available at all or have much stricter limits than we have now. This could certainly have an impact on the outcome of the 2008 elections”

Judicial Watch Files Open Records Lawsuit Regarding 'Morning After Pill'
By Jennifer Morehouse(CR) – A public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption has announced that it has filed a new open records lawsuit against the United States Food and Drug Administration. The group, Judicial Watch, filed the lawsuit regarding Hillary Clinton and the push to make the “emergency contraceptive pill,” available over-the-counter.
Information Act request seeking communications between the FDA and Senator Clinton regarding the “Plan B” drug. The group filed the original request in August 2006 after Clinton threatened to block the July 2006 nomination of Dr. Andrew von Eschenback to head the FDA until the Plan B contraceptive were made available over-the-counter.
“The FDA’s decision to approve Plan B seemed more about politics than science, especially given the role of Hillary Clinton in the process,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “This was a simple request for documents and the FDA’s delay in producing them is curious.”
